1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing this website, registering for, or attending the AI Transparency Africa Summit 2026 ("Summit"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the service or attend the Summit.

2. Event Description

The AI Transparency Africa Summit 2026 is a professional conference focusing on ethical AI development, transparency, and observability, taking place March 15-18, 2026, in Lusaka, Zambia. The event includes keynote presentations, workshops, networking opportunities, and exhibitions.

3. Registration and Payment

3.1 Registration Requirements

  • All attendees must register in advance through our official website
  • Registration is subject to availability and organizer approval
  • Accurate and complete information must be provided during registration
  • One registration per person; non-transferable without prior written consent

3.2 Payment Terms

  • Full payment is required to secure registration
  • All prices are listed in USD and exclude applicable taxes
  • Payment processing is handled securely through devDraft.io
  • Early bird discounts are valid until specified dates or while supplies last

4. Cancellation and Refund Policy

4.1 Attendee Cancellations

  • 90+ days before event: Full refund minus $50 processing fee
  • 60-89 days before event: 75% refund
  • 30-59 days before event: 50% refund
  • Less than 30 days before event: No refund

4.2 Event Cancellation

If the Summit is cancelled due to circumstances beyond our control (force majeure, pandemic, etc.), we will provide full refunds or transfer to the following year's event. We are not responsible for travel expenses, accommodation, or other related costs.

5. Code of Conduct

All attendees must adhere to our professional code of conduct:

  • Treat all participants with respect and professionalism
  • No harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate behavior
  • Respect intellectual property and confidential information
  • Follow all venue rules and local laws
  • Wear appropriate business attire
  • No unauthorized recording or photography of sessions

6. Intellectual Property

All content, materials, and presentations at the Summit are protected by intellectual property laws:

  • Summit content belongs to speakers and AI Transparency Africa
  • No recording, reproduction, or distribution without written permission
  • Attendees may take notes for personal use only
  • Our logos, trademarks, and branding are protected

7. Media and Photography

By attending the Summit, you consent to being photographed, filmed, or recorded for marketing, promotional, and documentary purposes. We may use your likeness in future marketing materials without compensation. If you object, please notify us in writing.

8. Health and Safety

  • Attendees are responsible for their own health and safety
  • We may implement health protocols based on current guidelines
  • Report any medical emergencies or safety concerns immediately
  • We are not liable for personal injury or illness
  • Follow all venue emergency procedures

9. Technology and Equipment

  • WiFi and technical support provided on best-effort basis
  • Bring necessary devices for workshops and networking
  • We are not responsible for technical failures or data loss
  • Attendees responsible for their personal equipment

10. Limitation of Liability

AI Transparency Africa, its organizers, sponsors, and partners shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from attendance at or participation in the Summit. Our total liability is limited to the registration fee paid.

11. Force Majeure

We are not liable for any failure to perform due to events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, terrorism, government actions, or venue unavailability. We may postpone, relocate, or modify the Summit as necessary.

12. Data Protection and Privacy

Your personal information is handled according to our Privacy Policy. By registering, you consent to the collection, processing, and use of your data as described in our Privacy Policy.

13. Modification of Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or website notice. Continued participation constitutes acceptance of modified terms.

14. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Zambia. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in Lusaka, Zambia, or as otherwise agreed by the parties.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
